Built during the reign of Emperor Augustus in the 1st century AD, the Antique Theatre in Orange is the best-preserved Roman theatre in the western world. It owes its fame to its monumental stage wall, which gives it exceptional acoustics. The Museum of Art and History traces the history of Orange from antiquity to the 20th century. Discover priceless treasures!

Built under Tiberius in the 1st century AD, this breathtaking monument is still adorned today with its magnificent panels and friezes commemorating Roman victories over barbarian peoples. THE SOUND ODYSSEY

Immerse yourself in an extraordinary universe

Since May 2023, the Antique Theatre in Orange has been offering an immersive night-time show: the Odyssée Sonore. A true technological innovation, the Sound Odyssey won an award at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January 2024!

In total immersion, thanks to spatialised and geolocalised high-definition headphones and monumental videomapping projected onto the entire stage wall, the stage and part of the stands, wander through marvellous and fantastic landscapes to meet divinities and characters from Roman mythology. Thrills and chills guaranteed!
